About the Artist

Kimber was born in New York. She attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated with a BFA in Illustration. After graduation Kimber landed a job as a prototype painter at Hasbro Inc. She worked on the G.I. Joe line as well as Mr. Potato Head and Littlest Pet shop toys.  After several years, she moved to California to pursue work as an artist. Kimber got a job as, the first ever credited, graphic artist on Season 4 of the television show Robot Chicken. She received a Prime Time Emmy Award for her participation on the show. Next up she tried her hand, literally, at lettering for Trader Joe's Company, as a sign artist. During her 8 years as a sign artist, she began branching out to local restaurants and shops creating colorful and fun chalk art all over town. Kimber also worked on over a dozen TV commercials and even became a caricature artist at Disneyland for a while. Currently she works a steady freelance gig as well as painting sketch cards for Topps and Upper Deck.
